Reelgood Streaming Top 10: Dan Levy’s Big Mistakes Debuts at #1 in a Week That Reset Almost the Whole Chart
Here’s your Reelgood Streaming Top 10 (movies & TV) snapshot for April 9 to April 15:
Netflix’s Big Mistakes, the new Dan Levy series, debuts at #1. It leads a chart that has almost completely turned over. Seven of this week’s ten titles are brand-new entries, and every one of them premiered inside a five-day window between April 8 and April 12. This is the most dramatic one-week reshuffle the Reelgood Top 10 has tracked this spring.
Only three titles from last week carry over: Crime 101, The Housemaid, and The Pitt. All three slide down in rank. The chart narrows to six services after eight split the Top 10 the week of April 2–8. Netflix, Prime Video, HBO Max, and Hulu each place two titles. Starz and Apple TV take the remaining spots.
This Week’s Top 10 Summary
- The five-day release pile-up: All seven new entries premiered between April 8 and April 12. The Boys Season 5 and The Testaments dropped April 8 on Prime Video and Hulu. Big Mistakes followed April 9 on Netflix. Thrash, Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair, and Outcome all landed April 10 across Netflix, Hulu, and Apple TV. Euphoria Season 3 premiered April 12 on HBO Max. Seven headline titles from five of the six platforms on the chart, compressed into one release window.
- Netflix trades its whole chart footprint: Big Mistakes opens at #1 and Thrash lands at #6. Both are new this week. Netflix’s two titles from last week (Anaconda and Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen) both fall off. The platform replaces its entire presence on the chart in a single week and reclaims the #1 spot.
- Prime Video pairs a carry-over with a new debut: Crime 101 slides from #1 to #3, and The Boys Season 5 enters at #4. Last week, Prime Video’s second title was Invincible at #9. The franchise rotation swaps one comic-book IP for another while keeping Crime 101 in the top five for a second consecutive week.
- HBO Max’s catalog-plus-episodic pairing: Euphoria lands at #2 on the strength of its Season 3 return, and The Pitt holds at #8. The Pitt now appears in its sixth consecutive weekly Reelgood Top 10, the longest confirmed multi-week run on the chart this spring. Two different engagement engines for HBO Max in one week: a dormant catalog title reactivated by new content, and an active drama held aloft by ongoing episode drops.
- Hulu’s back-to-back debuts: Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair opens at #7 and The Testaments at #10. Both premiered in the first half of April. Hulu lands two debut placements in a single week without a carry-over anchor.
- Starz holds; Apple TV joins the chart: The Housemaid drops from #2 to #5 but keeps Starz on the chart for a second consecutive week following its April 1 premiere on the service. Outcome, the new Keanu Reeves film directed by Jonah Hill, gives Apple TV a single Top 10 placement.
