Reelgood Streaming Top 10: Project Hail Mary Holds #1, Silo Climbs to #3, and Three New Titles Reset the Back Half

Here’s your Reelgood Streaming Top 10 (movies & TV) snapshot for July 9–16, 2026:

The top of the chart barely moved. Project Hail Mary holds #1 for a second week on Prime Video, and House of the Dragon holds #2 on HBO Max. The steadiness up top set off the week’s sharpest climb below it: Silo rose five spots to #3 on Apple TV in the first full week of its new season.

The back half is where the turnover happened. Three titles entered from three different corners of streaming: a reality finale, a documentary, and a two-decade-old catalog film. At the same time, the Fourth of July titles that packed last week’s chart mostly receded, with Independence Day, Dutton Ranch, and The Bear all dropping out of the top 10.

The ten titles again span seven services. Apple TV was the standout among them, placing two titles inside the top five with Silo at #3 and Widow’s Bay at #5.

This past week’s highlights:

  • The top two hold their ground: Project Hail Mary stays at #1 for a second week on Prime Video, extending an arc that reads #1 on MGM+, #2, #1, and #1 since its June 18 streaming debut. House of the Dragon holds #2 on HBO Max, where its fourth episode aired July 12 inside the window, its second straight week in the runner-up spot.
  • Silo climbs and Apple TV takes two of the top five: Silo jumped from #8 to #3 on Apple TV, the week’s biggest move, in the first full week after its third season premiered July 3. The second episode arrived July 10 inside the window. Widow’s Bay held in the top six and edged up to #5, giving Apple TV two titles in the top five.
  • Three new entries, three formats: Love Island USA debuts at #6 on Peacock, where the eighth season aired its finale July 12 after a near-daily summer run. Shipwrecked: Nightmare at Sea enters at #7 on Netflix, the Costa Concordia documentary that premiered July 10. Troy debuts at #10 on AMC+, a 2004 catalog title with no new release attached; its appearance coincides with the July 17 theatrical opening of Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, which draws on the same Trojan War mythology.
  • The holiday cluster clears out: The Fourth of July titles that filled last week’s chart mostly receded. Independence Day drops off after its holiday catalog spike, Dutton Ranch exits following its finale week, and The Bear falls out of the top 10 in the third week of its final season.
  • I Will Find You recedes: The Harlan Coben series slips from #3 to #9 on Netflix after three weeks in the top three, its steepest single-week drop since premiering June 18.
