Reelgood Streaming Top 10: Obsession Debuts at #1 as Four New Titles Land Inside a Three-Day Release Window
Here’s your Reelgood Streaming Top 10 (movies & TV) snapshot for July 17–22, 2026:
Obsession takes #1 on Peacock in its first week on the service. The horror film reached the service July 17, the opening day of the chart window, and ended Project Hail Mary‘s two-week run at the top. Prime Video keeps the film at #2.
The new arrivals did not stop there. Four of the ten titles reached streaming between July 15 and July 17, a compressed release window that took the #1, #4, #5, and #7 positions in a single week. Everything that carried over from last week moved down at least one spot.
The ten titles span six services, down from seven a week ago. Four titles exited: Widow’s Bay, Shipwrecked: Nightmare at Sea, Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, and I Will Find You.
This past week’s highlights:
- Obsession (Peacock): Curry Barker’s debut feature reached Peacock on July 17, closing a 63-day theatrical window that Focus Features extended twice as the film kept performing. It has grossed more than $427 million worldwide against a production budget under $1 million. The film is the only title on the chart with no streaming history before this window. It went from unavailable to #1 in six days.
- Three more premieres inside 72 hours: The Hawk enters at #4 on Netflix, where Will Ferrell’s golf comedy released its full first season July 16. Ride or Die debuts at #5 on Prime Video, the Octavia Spencer and Hannah Waddingham action comedy that dropped all eight episodes July 15. Lucky enters at #7 on Apple TV, the Anya Taylor-Joy limited series that premiered July 15 with two episodes and released its third on July 22, the final day of the window.
- Troy climbs as The Odyssey opens: The 2004 Wolfgang Petersen film rose from #10 to #6, its second week on the chart. The move coincides with the July 17 theatrical opening of Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, which took $124.5 million domestically and $264.1 million worldwide, the biggest live-action opening of 2026. Troy covers the Trojan War that The Odyssey picks up after. It is scheduled to leave AMC+ at the end of July.
- Prime Video places three: Project Hail Mary at #2, Ride or Die at #5, and The Sheep Detectives at #8 give the service more titles than any other on the chart, up from two in each of the prior two weeks. The Sheep Detectives slipped from #4 to #8 in its fifth consecutive week charting.
- The weekly dramas hold position while the debuts crowd in: House of the Dragon eased from #2 to #3 on HBO Max as the fifth episode of its third season aired July 19. Silo fell from #3 to #9 on Apple TV despite its third episode arriving July 17 inside the window, giving back the five-spot climb it posted a week earlier. Neither show lost an episode beat; the four debuts took the room.
- Love Island USA fades after its finale: The Peacock reality series dropped from #6 to #10 in the first full week following its July 12 season finale, the pullback that typically follows the end of a near-daily broadcast run.
