Reelgood Streaming Top 10: Crystal Lake Debuts at #1 as Five New Titles Enter

Here’s your Reelgood Streaming Top 10 (movies & TV) snapshot for October15-21, 2026:

Crystal Lake debuts at #1 on Peacock, pushing last week’s #1, Animals, down to #5 on Netflix. The eight-episode horror series is a prequel to the Friday the 13th franchise, with Linda Cardellini as Pam Voorhees. All eight episodes were released on October 15, the first day of the window.

Half the chart is new. Four of the five new entries started streaming between October 13 and October 16. The fifth, Nathan for You, is a comedy series that ended its run in 2017. Five titles from last week drop off: East of Eden, Ted Lasso, Matchbox: The Movie, Lanterns, and Hokum.

Seven services place a title for the fourth straight week, and none has more than two. Netflix, Prime Video, and Peacock each place two, after Netflix led with three last week. Disney+ is back on the chart for the first time since September 24-30 as Hulu drops off.

This past week’s highlights:

  • Last-day premieres chart a week later, for a fourth time: Love of Your Life, Rachel Morrison’s romance starring Margaret Qualley and Gabriel Basso, arrived on Prime Video on October 14, the final day of last week’s window, and missed that chart. With a full week of eligibility, it enters at #3. The same sequence played out with Neagley and Slow Horses (September 16), The Love Hypothesis and Toy Story 5 (September 23), and Carrie (October 7). Marvel’s VisionQuest nearly fits too: its first two episodes reached Disney+ the evening of October 13, a day before the window closed, and the series enters at #6 as episodes three and four arrived October 20.
  • Last week’s debuts split in their second week: Four of last week’s six new entries remain. The two series hold their positions: Carrie stays at #2 on Prime Video, and Below stays at #4 on Netflix. The two films each fall four spots: Animals from #1 to #5, and Disclosure Day from #3 to #7 on Peacock.
  • Nathan for You (HBO Max): The series enters at #10 the same week A24 opened You Can See Everything in U.S. theaters on October 16. The film is Nathan Fielder’s documentary about Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes. The timing suggests the theatrical release is likely driving interest in Fielder’s earlier work. It is HBO Max’s only title for the second straight week.
  • Lanterns exits after a nine-week run: Lanterns leaves the chart after nine straight weeks, in the second full week after its October 4 season finale. It fell to #8 last week, its lowest ranking of the run. HBO Max placed three titles two weeks ago; this past week it only had one.
  • Tenzing keeps Apple TV on the chart: Both of Apple TV’s titles from last week exit. Ted Lasso leaves in the second full week after its season finale, and Matchbox: The Movie leaves after one week. Tenzing replaces them at #8. The film is Jennifer Peedom’s biographical drama about Tenzing Norgay’s 1953 Everest ascent, with Tom Hiddleston as Edmund Hillary. It began streaming October 16, a week after a limited theatrical release.
  • MobLand (Paramount+): MobLand holds at #9 in its fifth straight week on the chart, now the longest active run of any title in the Top 10. New episodes continue weekly through the second season’s November 20 finale.

Reelgood Streaming Top 10 chart for October 15 to October 21, 2026, ranking ten movies and TV shows: Crystal Lake on Peacock at #1, Carrie on Prime Video at #2, Love of Your Life on Prime Video at #3, Below on Netflix at #4, Animals on Netflix at #5, VisionQuest on Disney+ at #6, Disclosure Day on Peacock at #7, Tenzing on Apple TV at #8, MobLand on Paramount+ at #9, and Nathan for You on HBO Max at #10.
