Reelgood Streaming Top 10: Euphoria Takes #1, HBO Max Stacks Two in the Top Six, ‘Big Mistakes’ Drops Eight Spots

Here’s your Reelgood Streaming Top 10 (movies & TV) snapshot for April 16  to April 22:

Euphoria climbs one spot to #1 on HBO Max. The title it displaces, Netflix’s Big Mistakes, drops from #1 to #9. That 8-spot within-chart fall is the largest single-week decline we’ve tracked across our last five weekly charts.

HBO Max takes two of the top six this week: Euphoria at #1 and The Pitt at #6. Netflix places four titles on the chart, the most of any service, but loses the #1 spot only a week after reclaiming it. Five streamers split this week’s Top 10, down from six last week and eight the week of April 2 to 8.

Four titles debut this week, and one long-running series keeps extending its run. The Pitt has now appeared in our Top 10 for seven consecutive weeks, going back to the week of March 5. No other title on this week’s chart has been present across our last five weekly charts.

This past week’s highlights:

  • Euphoria (HBO Max) and the top-six hold: Euphoria‘s climb from #2 to #1 is driven by its Season 3 return, which premiered April 12. Combined with The Pitt‘s finale at #6, HBO Max has two engagement engines on the chart at once: a dormant catalog title reactivated by new content and an active weekly drama (concluding last week). It’s the platform’s second straight week with two titles in the Top 10.
  • Big Mistakes (Netflix): Fell from #1 to #9, an 8-spot drop in one week. That is the largest single-week within-chart decline across our last five weekly charts. The collapse comes after a debut week in which the Dan Levy series led a near-total chart reset.
  • The Pitt (HBO Max): Seventh consecutive weekly appearance, going back to the week of March 5. Across our last five weekly charts the show has held positions #5, #3, #3, #8, and #6. No other title on this week’s Top 10 has been present across all five. Season 2’s fifteenth and final episode aired during this chart window, closing a run that held episodic engagement steady through weeks of premiere-driven turnover around it.
  • The Housemaid (Starz): Holds at #5 for a second straight week, and now has appeared in our top five for three consecutive weeks at #2, #5, and #5. It is the only Starz title to appear across our last five weekly charts, a meaningful data point for a service that rarely registers on a weekly top 10 tracked across 300+ platforms.
  • Four new entries, one catalog title: Margo’s Got Money Troubles debuts at #3 on Apple TV, Beef at #4 on Netflix, Roommates at #7 on Netflix, and Balls Up at #10 on Prime Video. Beef is the outlier: a 2023 Netflix title returning to the chart with no new season attached. The other three are tied to recent platform drops.
  • Netflix’s mixed week: Four titles on the chart, more than any other streamer, but no #1 and a high-profile collapse. Thrash rises from #6 to #2, a 4-spot gain. Big Mistakes offsets it with the 8-spot drop. Beef and Roommates enter fresh. The breadth is there; the top-end hold isn’t.
