Here’s your Reelgood Streaming Top 10 (movies & TV) snapshot for August 27-September 2, 2026:

Furious jumps from #5 to #1 on Hulu the same week its first season finale aired and the streamer renewed it for a second season. It knocks Lanterns down to #4 on HBO Max, which had held #1 for exactly one week.

Three titles debut this week: The Whisper Man on Netflix, Dark Matter on Apple TV, and Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu on Disney+.

Seven services placed titles this week, and Apple TV remains the busiest with three. Obsession‘s run on Peacock keeps extending, and 9 to 5 keeps climbing on Prime Video.

This past week’s highlights:

• Furious (Hulu): The show’s climb tracks its news cycle: #8 two weeks ago, #5 last week, #1 now. The season finale aired August 31, four days after Hulu renewed the show for Season 2 on August 27, an unusually early pickup for the streamer. Hulu said one-day viewing for Episode 7 ran 40% ahead of the series premiere.
• Three premieres land inside one week: The Whisper Man debuts at #2 on Netflix on its August 28 release date. Dark Matter returns at #7 on Apple TV the same day, opening Season 2 more than two years after the Season 1 finale. Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu enters at #10 on Disney+, its September 2 streaming debut arriving 103 days after its May 22 theatrical release, with only the final day of this window to build viewership.
• Apple TV’s other two titles drop despite new episodes: Silo released its ninth episode August 28 and dropped from #7 to #9, with the Season 3 finale set for September 4. Ted Lasso released its fifth episode September 2, the season’s midpoint, and dropped from #2 to #6. New episodes landed for both inside this window, but neither held its position.
• Obsession’s run keeps extending: The horror film has appeared on every chart for seven straight weeks since debuting July 17 on Peacock, the longest active streak on this week’s list. Its position has slid steadily: #1, #2, #2, #4, #6, #6, #8. House of the Dragon held the previous longest streak this summer at five weeks before dropping off in late August.
• 9 to 5 (Prime Video): The 1980 comedy climbs from #8 to #3 in its second week on the chart, its run following Dolly Parton’s August 25 death showing no signs of slowing.
