Reelgood Streaming Top 10: The Last House Takes #1 as Four Premieres Land in the Same Week
Here’s your Reelgood Streaming Top 10 (movies & TV) snapshot for August 6-12, 2026:
Three new titles debuted August 5, and a fourth landed two days later, giving this week’s chart four fresh entries out of ten. The Last House takes #1 outright on Netflix, ending Furious‘s one-week run at the top; the Hulu thriller settles into #2 in its second week on the chart. Ted Lasso returns to Apple TV at #3, its first new season in more than three years. Sterling Point debuts at #7 on Prime Video and The Shards enters at #10 on Hulu.
Amid the new arrivals, Obsession holds a top-half spot for a fourth straight week on Peacock. House of the Dragon and The Drama both remain in the top half of the chart on HBO Max, as House of the Dragon‘s third season finale aired August 9. Lower down, the chart turns over hard: The Devil Wears Prada 2 falls five spots to #9, and Spider-Man: No Way Home, Masters of the Universe, 72 Hours and Ride or Die all drop off entirely.
This past week’s highlights:
- The Last House (Netflix): The Louis Leterrier sci-fi thriller starring Greta Lee and Wagner Moura opened August 7 and moves straight to #1, ending Furious‘s hold on the top spot after a single week. The film logged 27.5 million views in its first three days, more than double any other English-language film on Netflix that week.
- Ted Lasso (Apple TV): Season four premieres at #3, marking the show’s return after its third season ended more than three years ago. A second episode arrived August 11, giving the show two episodes of interaction inside this chart window.
- Two more first-week debuts: Sterling Point enters at #7 on Prime Video, where all eight episodes of the Megan Park coming-of-age drama dropped at once and quickly became the platform’s most-watched series in the US. The Shards debuts at #10 on Hulu, Ryan Murphy’s adaptation of the Bret Easton Ellis novel.
- Obsession‘s monthlong run continues: The Peacock horror film has now charted for four consecutive weeks since its July 17 debut at #1, holding a top-two spot for the first three before slipping to #4 as new titles crowd the top of the chart.
- HBO Max holds two spots as House of the Dragon closes its season: House of the Dragon dips one spot to #6 the week its 75-minute season three finale aired August 9, the longest episode in the show’s history and its last new installment until season four. The Drama climbs one spot to #5 in its second week on the chart.
- Last week’s arrivals give way: The Devil Wears Prada 2 falls from #4 to #9 after a rebound driven by a fuller week of chart eligibility rather than any shift in the sequel’s popularity. Spider-Man: No Way Home, Masters of the Universe, 72 Hours and Ride or Die all drop off the chart entirely.
