Reelgood Streaming Top 10: The Invite Takes #1 as Horror Fills Half the Chart

Here’s your Reelgood Streaming Top 10 (movies & TV) snapshot for October 22-28, 2026:

The Invite debuts at #1 on HBO Max, pushing last week’s #1, Crystal Lake, down to #2 on Peacock. Olivia Wilde’s A24 comedy, starring Wilde, Seth Rogen, Penélope Cruz, and Edward Norton, began streaming exclusively on HBO Max on October 23, the second day of the window. It’s the service’s first #1 since Backrooms for September 24-30.

In the last full week before Halloween, five of the ten titles are horror. Five titles enter and five drop off: Love of Your Life, Below, Disclosure Day, MobLand, and Nathan for You.

Seven services place a title for the fifth straight week. Peacock, Prime Video, and Shudder each place two.

This past week’s highlights:

  • Last-day premieres chart a week later, for a fifth time: The Terminal List released all eight episodes of its second season on Prime Video on October 21, the final day of last week’s window, and missed that chart. With a full week of eligibility, it enters at #6. The first season premiered in July 2022. The same sequence played out with Neagley and Slow Horses (September 16), The Love Hypothesis and Toy Story 5 (September 23), Carrie (October 7), and Love of Your Life (October 14).
  • Shudder places two horror titles ahead of October 31: The Cycle, Jordan Downey’s horror murder mystery starring Deborah Ann Woll and Jeffrey Donovan, premiered October 23 and enters at #9. John Carpenter’s 1978 Halloween enters at #10, three days before the holiday it’s named for. They’re Shudder’s first appearances on the chart this year.
  • Peacock’s horror pair: Crystal Lake slips one spot to #2 in its second week, with all eight episodes available since October 15. Obsession returns at #8, its third appearance in six weeks, after #9 for September 17-23 and #10 for October 1-7. Since opening in theaters May 15, the film has grossed more than $500 million worldwide. It’s Focus Features’ highest-grossing release ever and the first English-language original film of the 2020s to pass that mark. It has streamed exclusively on Peacock since July 17.
  • Two second-week climbers: VisionQuest rises from #6 to #3 on Disney+ as episodes five and six arrived October 27. Marvel is releasing the series two episodes at a time through October 27, then weekly to a November 10 finale. Tenzing moves from #8 to #5 on Apple TV in its first full week of eligibility after starting October 16. It’s Apple TV’s only title for the second straight week.
  • Carrie and Animals now hold the longest active runs: Both are in their third straight week, the longest streak on the current chart. Carrie held #2 on Prime Video for two weeks before slipping to #4. Animals has fallen from #1 to #5 to #7 on Netflix.
  • MobLand exits mid-season: MobLand leaves the chart after five straight weeks, with new episodes still arriving weekly ahead of its November 20 season finale. Its exit leaves Paramount+ off the chart. The service had placed a title in each of the previous six weeks, its longest run of the year.
